With Sicily only 2.5/3 hours away and then onward to the spectacular Aeolian islands Malta offers quality cruising 7/8 months a year.

Wintering in the mild climate and the with local resident skills trained through centuries of boat care and repair (the British navy leaving vast dockyard experience behind when it left in 1979), owners and captains benefit from cost saving, economic winter maintenance before enjoying a great season in local waters or, sailing to a new season, either in the well worn northern Med or maybe fresh cruising grounds exploring Italy, the Adriatic, Greek Islands and Turkey,  with a return to Malta for the off season maintenance schedule before having an early season run up around the local waters or a little further to the amazing Aeolian islands, Sicily and Southern Italy.
